On-Boarding for the Busy Season

For many, the holiday season means it’s time to buy warm sweaters, pullout our trusted umbrellas, and bring out the hot chocolate recipe our grandmothers passed down to us years before. Like many mothers, aside from thinking of all of the delicious food I get to make (sarcasm intended), I also begin my holiday present shopping well in advance.

It’s no surprise that business tends to increase across the US towards the end of the year, but for many retailers, and businesses the holiday shopping season is a “make or break” period.

Temporary and part-time employment, spikes as retailers and other businesses increase staffing to accommodate their seasonal increase in business.
Workers not familiar with this sort of employment, and employers unaccustomed to hiring part-time and/or seasonal employees, may not be fully aware of the regulations surrounding such employment.

So, whether you are a part-time employee looking for a little extra money this season, or a business owner seeking guidance, contact Strategic HR Partners so you can do what you do best – enjoy the holiday season, and we can do what we do best – Human Resources!
