We are seeking a motivated and dependable Journalist/Videographer to cover local news in the Reno area. This is an on-the-ground reporting role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable live streaming from active scenes. The ideal candidate is confident on camera, organized, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

• Report on breaking news and local stories in Reno and surrounding communities
• Capture high-quality video footage in the field
• Conduct on-camera and off-camera interviews
• Provide live-stream coverage from news scenes
• Research and assist with story development
• Travel within Nevada as needed for assignments
• Coordinate with editorial team regarding story updates and coverage plans

Job Requirements

• Experience in journalism, reporting, broadcasting, or videography
• Comfortable with live streaming and on-camera reporting
• Strong communication and storytelling skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Reliable transportation to office and field assignments
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in dynamic or high-pressure situation

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior live news or field reporting experience
• Familiarity with Reno and Northern Nevada communities
• Experience with digital publishing and social media platforms
