Position: Asphalt Line Striper

Responsibilities

• Complete layouts of parking lots, painting lot lines, poles, signage, parking block installations, and removing pavement markings from roadway surfaces.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain tools or equipment. Check fluids to ensure continued performance.
• Responsible for the finished product while following proper safety and traffic precautions.
• Prepare road surfaces for line striping material using blowers, brooms, and mechanized sweeping methods.
• Follow proper operating procedures with all equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Must have a “safety first” attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.

Physical Demands

The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions of this job.

• Constant physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Team members must stand for extended periods and stoop, bend, and crouch to perform Key Duties.
• Ability to lift, frequently, at least 50 pounds and carry at least 30 pounds personally and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
• Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the actions of other team members and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
• Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground, in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred
• OSHA 10 Certification
• A valid driver’s license
• 1-2 years of previous experience at minimum

Pay: $26.00 – $34.00 per hour
